Our mission is to raise awareness of the contribution plants make to a happier, healthier work environment and to do our part to help Dallas/Fort Worth be more “green” and contribute to creating a more sustainable environment. We will also continue to provide world-class service while maintaining our friendly, small-company style.
Why Do They Call it "Green"?
We are living in the midst of the “Green” revolution. But have you ever wondered why it is referred to as “Green?” Plants are the foundation of nature and the Green Movement is about protecting and enjoying our natural environment for years to come. It has already been well-documented that plants help clean indoor air. But did you know that in a Gallup poll 2/3 of Americans cited gardening as their favorite hobby? Parks and outdoor activities continue to be a restful retreat for many. No doubt about it – plants contribute to not only a healthier environment, but also a happier environment!
What Else is Green at Plantation Interiors?
At Plantation Interiors, we strive to use Green products in many areas. In addition to the plants themselves, we use only natural, environmentally friendly pest treatments that are completely pesticide free!
We also offer a selection of containers that are made with Eco-Fiberglass ™ which has a 30% lower fossil fuel content, Eco-Aluminum ™ which contains 50% recycled aluminum, and a ceramic line which contains a minimum 27% recycled materials.1
Green Buildings
Green Roofs are more in demand than ever before. Ask us about the latest technology and how we can deliver the right Green Roof product for your project or facility.
Per a press release published from the US Green Building Council (USGBC), representatives from Australia’s Green Star, UK’s BREEAM, and the USGBC’s LEED have agreed to work together to develop a more consistent set of standards in measuring and reporting. Australia’s Green Star recognizes and awards points for indoor plants and it is hoped that due to these discussions soon LEED with be adopting this standard as well.
